Condolences to the family of former Chicago Bears great Dick Butkus on his recent passing. Butkus is considered one of the greatest defensive players in football history, having played linebacker for the University of Illinois, then in the NFL with the “Monsters of the Midway.” His toughness and excellence on the field will be remembered for years to come.

For those who enjoy baseball as much as I do, check out “The Grandest Stage, a History of the World Series.” Written by New York Times best selling author Tyler Kepner, it shares many facts, interviews and details on some of the most exciting moments in the “Fall Classic.” Set aside some time this weekend, as it is a good read.
