During a time of crisis, Americans are known for their resiliency and their ability to bounce back. To that end, I’m sending out best wishes to residents of Florida and everyone throughout the Southeastern part of the country that were impacted by Hurricane Ian, for a quick and speedy recovery. I also want to applaud the efforts of all those first responders and volunteers that are providing assistance to those in need during this very challenging time.

The Change in Seasons
Fall has arrived once again. From cool temperatures to the Autumn colors, it is without a doubt one of my favorite times of the year. If you have a chance this weekend, be sure to go for a drive, take a walk or sit outside and just enjoy the scenery.
Customer Service – Baseball Success
As you know, I appreciate best in class service. With that in mind, congratulations to Pat Hughes, Jose Cardenal and Buck O’Neil on being selected to the Chicago Cubs Hall of Fame. Hughes has been the team’s radio play by play announcer for many years and becomes the third broadcaster to receive this honor. Cardenal played six seasons on the Northside as an outfielder and was a fan favorite. O’Neil worked as a scout and coach, having made an impact on many players careers during his time with the ballclub and was elected to the MLB Hall of Fame this past summer.
International Affairs
If you follow world news like I do, you are most likely aware of the recent changes that have occurred in the United Kingdom. First, Boris Johnson was replaced as Prime Minister by Liz Truss. The other big historical event that happened was the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, with Prince Charles becoming King Charles III. With the succession and transition of power occurring nearly at the same time, it will be interesting to watch how each perform in the political arena and carry out their duties in the days and weeks ahead.
