Condolences to the family of Colin Powell, who passed away on Monday.  Powell’s long career includes having been a Four Star General in the U.S. Army, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under President George H.W. Bush and President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State for President George W. Bush.  In 2008, he endorsed then Senator Barack Obama for President of the United States and has done so for every Democratic presidential candidate since then.  In addition to having served in the military and being a diplomat, Powell was an author and had written several books.

Recommending Viewing

If you watched “The Sopranos” on HBO like I did, check out “The Many Saints of Newark” on HBO Max and at local theaters.  Starring Michael Gandolfini, the movie takes place in the late 1960’s and tells the coming-of-age story of Tony Soprano.  As a prequel to the hit series created by David Chase, it’s certainly worth a look this weekend.
