The Plan is a must read for any Chicago Cubs fan. Written by David Kaplan, this book chronicles the rise of the team from the initial purchase by Tom Ricketts to the winning of the 2016 World Series. In great detail, Kaplan shares with the reader how the hiring of Theo Epstein, Jed Hoyer and eventually, Joe Maddon, led to building a world champion on the North Side. With the start of another spring training, the baseball season is fast approaching. I recommend setting aside a few minutes and check it out.
