For those of you that follow professional and major college teams locally, you’ve had much to enjoy. First, the Fighting Illini hired former Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith to lead their football team. Next, the Chicago Blackhawks are battling the St. Louis Blues in an exciting first round of the NHL playoffs. The Chicago Cubs and White Sox are in first place. And last but not least, the NFL will be held here for the second consecutive year. With another 8 months to go, I’m looking forward to much more excitement the remainder of the year.
