Sports History

Here’s some sports history, courtesy of http://ChicagoCubs.mlb.com   On August 8, 1988, in a contest against the Phillies, the Cubs play their first night game in Wrigley Field history. The night debut was rained out after 3 1/2 innings, and the first official night game occurred the next night, when the Cubs defeated the New York Mets, 6-4. After the season, the North Siders announce plans for $14 million renovation of park, including construction of 67 mezzanine suites and a new press box.

Customer Service Success Story – Dick Wolf

As you know, I put an extremely high value on best in class customer service, in all walks of life.  My focus today is on television, as Chicago has become the center of programming and story lines for many of today’s shows, from Showtime’s “Shameless”, to “The Good Wife”, on CBS.  NBC is leading the networks with 3 dramas, starting with “Chicago Fire”, “Chicago PD” and the newest program to the lineup this fall, “Chicago Med”.  What they all have in common, other than the city, is the Executive Producer, Dick Wolf.  Over the years, Dick has been a producer, director or creator of some the best shows of our time, from “Hill Street Blues”, to “Miami Vice” and most recently, the “Law and Order” franchise.  His storylines, attention to detail and eye for great talent, is the best amongst his peers.  As he embarks on his newest series, “Chicago Med”, I’m looking forward to seeing his talents on display once more.
